SCBA DYNAMIC FLOW TESTING

HYDROSTATIC CYLINDER TESTING CYLINDER HYDROSTATIC TESTING We perform visual inspection as well as government controlled (TC#047) and certified hydrostatic testing of cylinders of all sizes. We can also refill all SCUBA and SCBA cylinders with laboratory tested, clean, dry breathing air and CO2 cylinders with fresh carbon dioxide eliminating the need to make a second stop before getting back to business as usual. HYDROSTATIC TEST MARKINGS Pressure vessels that have been hydrostatically tested and re-qualified must be marked by the retest facility with the facility retester identification number (RIN), and the retest date. EDDY CURRENT TESTING ABC Fire & Safety utilizes the Visual Plus Eddy Current inspection system. Professionally competent visual inspections are a key element in the proper maintenance of gas cylinders, with the inspection of neck threads being an important part of this process.

ABC Fire & Safety has the equipment to Flow Test your self contained breathing apparatus as per manufacturers’ recommendations. Our technician can do this for you if you are at our St. Boniface location; or you can call or email to set up a time to have us come out and do the testing at your site. This means that you are ready to go at any time and not caught without your safety equipment.

YES, we are MOBILE & can test at YOUR facility! Annual flow tests are stated as a requirement in NFPA 1852, Standard on Selection, Care, and Maintenance of Open-Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), 2002 Edition, which emphasizes their importance. Although this standard is related to SCBA used in the fire service, manufacturers such as MSA require that a flow test be performed at least annually on all fire service and non-fire service SCBA and combination respirators that use a pressure demand regulator. We are a trained and certified MSA repair facility and can do repairs to your MSA Breathing Apparatus without having to send it away. There may be some cases in which it is beyond the scope of our training and we will be more than happy to discuss your options with you..

FIT TESTING

ABC Fire and Safety conducts Fit Testing using our new PortaCount Pro+ Respirator Fit Tester 8038. We have the ability to do Quantitative Fit Testing at our store or at your facility and can provide you with a computerized printout for your records. No other respirator fit tester can quantitatively fit test all types of respirators-gas masks, SCBA,s, respirators, even N95, P1 and P2 disposable (filtering-facepiece) respirators.
